Dr. Brandt Smith

Dr. Smith has been in dentistry going on five years now. He attended Middle Tennessee State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He then earned his master’s in biotechnology and proceeded to apply for dental school. Dr. Smith attended The University of Tennessee’s School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2019. UT was always Dr. Smith’s first choice. While there he made the most of his experience joining The UTSHC Aesthetics Club, Xi Psi Phi dental fraternity where he served as President and was also a part of the IMHOTEP Society. After working as an associate for a short time he bought Bell Road Family Dentistry from Dr. Hudson, achieving his goal of starting his own practice.

Dr. Smith wants to do the best he can to give back to his patients and make sure he helps them achieve the ultimate goal; a beautiful smile and a reason to gain confidence back in themselves. “The care I show my patients and work I do for them is a blessing in itself. Nothing makes me happier than a patient that comes in feeling hopeless about their smile and then I get to go in and completely reverse that feeling for them! Bringing smiles back to life for my patients is the reason I do what I do.”

Getting personal: Dr. Smith keeps it simple on his off time. When he’s not at the office, he’s at the gym. He enjoys playing pool and poker, spending time with his family, and watching The University of Tennessee football. Go VOLS!

Meet Our Team

Kylie

RDH, Office Manager

Kylie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist going on seven years now. In 2017 she received her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene and is now taking on the role of office manager. According to Kylie, patient care starts at the front office and should flow throughout the office. Therefore, any patient that comes in should feel worry-free from the moment they enter the office to the moment they leave after treatment. “I believe that patients see our interactions with each other here in the office and can truly feel the friendly atmosphere we present. Overall, that is what makes our patients so comfortable here. We truly work as a team and get along great with one another.”

Getting Personal: Outside of work, Kylie enjoys spending time with her family. She has a daughter, named Morrison (Morri for short). She and her husband are slowly progressing their small farm with many goats, dogs, ducks and more animals to come. Their ultimate goal is to have a full functioning homestead. Kylie also enjoys cooking and sharing recipes on her TikTok (@itskyliemacias). The most important thing for Kylie is growing her relationship with Christ and striving to glorify him in every aspect of her life—a new journey she and her family have been very excited and passionate about. One of Kylie’s favorite verses is Matthew 9:13. A perfect reminder for all that are on their walk and fall short from time to time.

Anna

Insurance Coordinator and Front Desk

Anna has been in dentistry for 14 years. She started out as a pediatric dental assistant and progressed from there to start learning even more about dental insurance. Fast forward some years later and Anna is all things knowledgeable when it comes to insurance. She is the practice’s back bone! In the office, Anna strives to make things as easy as possible when it comes to providing answers for patients that have concerns or questions regarding their insurance, treatment, etc.

Get Personal: In Anna’s off time, her top priority is spending time with her children and family. She loves attending her children’s sporting events. Family is everything to her and time spent with them is what’s most important. Anna is strong in her faith. One of her favorite bible verses is Exodus 15:2.

Katelynn

Registered Dental Hygienist

Katelynn has been a Registered Dental Hygienist going on five years now. In 2019 she received her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Katelynn’s goal when it comes to patient care is always to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible when they’re coming in for their cleanings. “So many people experience dental anxiety and I love to make sure my patients feel at ease. I want them to enter a relaxed environment. It’s so important to me that my patients leave our office with a new sense of confidence about themselves.”

Getting Personal: Katelynn is a busy body outside of work. She goes to the gym almost every day and gets to find a little time for herself while there. But, Katelynn’s #1 joy is spending time with her son, Kaden. She loves taking him to his games and watching him grow every day. Katelynn and Dr. Smith married in October of 2022 and are now a family of four (Dr. Smith, Katelynn, Kaden and their dog, Medusa). Katelynn loves extra time spent with her family, getting to take trips and making new memories with them. She is very sentimental when it comes to her family. Family pictures taken with her phone or professionally, hold a special place in her heart. She loves to see her family through the lens and share memories old and new with others.

Caroline

Registered Dental Hygienist

Caroline graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s in business administration. Later on, she decided to pursue her Associate’s in Dental Hygiene and graduated from Pensacola State in 2019. “I love getting to know my patients and relating to them on another level. I always want my patients to feel a genuine connection when coming to see me. I understand the anxiety that comes with appointments at the dentist and my top priority is alleviating that fear and making my patients enjoy being here.”

Getting Personal: Caroline is very adventurous and loves to travel. Time spent on the boat and at the beach is usually where you’ll find her during the summer. Caroline is very artistic and also enjoys making handmade jewelry in her spare time.

Kaylin

Dental Assistant

Kaylin started out as a medical insurance coordinator. Dr. Smith offered her the opportunity to take on a new role as a dental assistant. She started out at the front desk and was in the back learning all things assisting whenever she got the opportunity. Fast forward a year later and she’s a full-time dental assistant now. A great quality Kaylin has is her laid-back personality. She makes patients feel comfortable and at ease while in the room with them. She is still learning all she can and is always seeking the opportunity to learn something new in the office. “I feel like anyone that comes in can see the hard work we put in and the good times we have here. We all work well together and the patients see that.  I always want our patients to be comfortable and know that they are in a judgement free zone and we are here to help.”

Getting Personal: In Kaylin’s free time she loves shopping, going to the gym and spending time with her daughter, Nevaeh.

`Chelsey

Lead Dental Assistant

Chelsey has been a dental assistant for five years. She received her diploma for Dental Assisting in Tennessee at Daymar College in 2018. Chelsey is the one to go to when it comes to anything operative related. She and Dr. Smith work hand in hand together to keep things running as smoothly as possible while in treatment. If you have the privilege of talking with Chelsey, you’ll see what a funny personality she has. She can talk to the wall and it’ll laugh. She’s a genuine person that cares about her patients. “One of the most rewarding feelings is when a patient specifically requests for me to be the assistant for whatever procedure they are having done. It’s so important when seeing patients to just be yourself and let who you are shine through at any given moment. I think that’s what really gives our patients a sense or personability when they are with us. I’m being myself and patients find that comforting.”

Getting Personal: Outside of work Chelsey tries to keep it productive. Whether it’s chasing her kids around, going to the gym or tackling another DIY project, she’s on the move. Chelsey has three kids, Greyson, Peyten, and Haven. Her biggest accomplishment in life is her kids and all the ups and downs that come with it.
